AI Community
BAU brings together students, academics and staff who are interested in AI. Our communities from different disciplines share knowledge and experience, spread good practices and shape the future of AI together.
- 9 student clubs
- Monthly meetups
- Cross-disciplinary integration
Learning together, growing together
BAU believes that AI is not merely an individual tool, but a shared competence that grows as it is shared. Our students, faculty members and staff come together to share their experiences, learn from one another and build cross-disciplinary collaborations. Our aim is to create a community culture that embraces AI with curiosity and common sense, and that creates together.

AI for Society
AI literacy is not limited to the campus. Türkiye's National AI Action Plan (2026–2030), through its ‘Awareness’ pillar, prioritizes awareness and AI literacy across every part of society. To contribute to this national vision, BAU is designing literacy and guidance initiatives for families and the community through BAUPRO productions and the BAU Science Communication Office.

AI for Society Platform — AI for Everyone
A platform that supports students' families and children in using AI safely, ethically and consciously, with the goal of free access for everyone. Its own page will be published in the future.
Sharing and communities of practice
Groups that meet regularly around a shared interest and share knowledge and experience. Departments, units and interest groups can build their own community under the coordination of the AI Competence Unit.
Shared content: good-practice guides, case studies, research findings, project plans and shared tools.
Community and the AI Steering Committee
Communities can be invited to the AI Steering Committee and may submit reports and requests about their work to the committee. For external stakeholder communities, BAU is ready to take on an umbrella role and is open to collaboration.
