Who are we?
Established under BAU's Research Deanship and supported by the IT Department and UBİT, the AI Competence Unit was founded so that faculty members, staff, students and entrepreneurs can safely use AI in learning, teaching, research and administrative processes.
From the evaluation, approval and provision of corporate AI tools to training and advising services, we guide our community across a broad range. Our aim is to make AI available as an important instrument of BAU's academic culture — with a principled approach to innovation, in an accessible and human-centered way.
The unit also runs the secretariat of the AI Steering Committee and supports the institutional governance of AI capabilities.
